Eero Setup: 6 Steps To Build Your Home WiFi Mesh System

Previously, traditional routers have the most complex and confusing setup procedure. But now Eero has brought us a whole new different approach for your home wireless network development procedure. Eero actually defines itself as a WiFi system in which a couple of routers are gathered together to give you the super-strong wireless network coverage.

Eero routers come with a pack of two, three and four devices. You have to buy it depending upon the size of your home. In addition to that, you can also add an extender if you want to boost the signal. As the Eero setup procedure is very easy, therefore you need to go through all the following instructions that are given below.

Eero Wifi Setup Procedure

With the help of Eero routers, the whole setup will need a maximum of time of 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All the step by step process are given here and you need to follow it very carefully.

Step 1: Download and Install the Eero Application

The official application is available for both Android and iOS platforms. Depending upon the OS that you use, download and install it. This application is the main user interface that will play a key role in establishing and operating the device. Moreover, there are no facilities for downloading this application on your computer.

Step 2: Create an Account

After the successful download and installation of the application, tap on Eero setup, and it will take you to the next screen. Here you have to create an account by applying your name, mobile phone number and email address. Click on the “Next” button and wait for a few seconds until you receive the verification code. Insert the code in its desired place and once again tap on “Next”. The start-up window will open with the “let’s get started” message. Now tap on the “Start” button.

Step 3: Installation of Eero Device for the First Time

If you are having a router and a modem combination, then unplug it from the existing router. Now take the Ethernet cable and plug it in Eero device. After that, plug in the other end of the cable to the modem. Now plug both modems as well as the router to the electrical socket and turn them on. Wait for a few seconds until the small lamp on the router glows up.

Turn over to your mobile application and you will see “Starting up your Eero” window. Hit the “Next” button present below and the application will successfully find the device wirelessly. Now, select the room where you have kept the device and it will show a green-colored tick. It means that the setup is successful.

Step 4: Creation of the WiFi Network

After the successful setup, now you have to create a new WiFi network. After the previous step, when “Create your Network” window appears, select a good name of your wireless network and a strong password.

We recommend you to set the password using the uppercase, lowercase, special characters, and white spaces to ensure its durability. After hitting the “Next” button, wait for a few moments until the process is complete.

Step 5: Additional Eero Routers Installation

After the previous process, the application will ask whether you are interested in installing another device. If it is so, then tap on “Add another Eero”. Just keep the other device out in the open as you don’t have to perform the entire procedure once again. The application will eventually detect the device and it will show you the final window with the “All Done!” button.

Step 6: Up-To-Date the Eero Router

When you open the application, if any new update is available, you will see a blue notification “An Update is available”. Moreover, the “Update now” button is also present just beside it. Tap on the button and the details of the update will appear on the screen.  Read the following points and tap on “Yes, update now”. It might take a few minutes to update the software. When the update is complete, the application will restart itself and your software is now running at its latest version.
